My UA-cam was playing in the background when I noticed this video the difficulty with the slide pin is something I deal with regularly due to previous mechanics using anti seize instead of slide grease they don't realize that when the caliper Gets hot anti-seize hardens because it melts the the metal particles and pretty much just welds the slide pin

Thank you for your explanation. I was working on the upper control arms and needed to remove many components on the rear of the vehicle. I had a lot of room to access all the bolts and the pcv valve; however, I was not expecting to find a damn spring band clamp on the valve. That was a nightmare, those factory clamps are horrible to remove in incredibly tight spaces. I might be on of the few unlucky individuals that has a durango that came with one of those clamps installed.

You will have to buy the upper and lower ball joint kit. You will also need to buy the bushing kit . Basically you will be rebuilding it. If yours is destroyed then youd need to get a used one as far as I know. Hope this helps.

I have been dealing with this same problem with my 2011 for the last year and it is so frustrating. I dread getting on the highway because I always have to end up pulling over to restart the car. It happens whenever it wants and I was told it was my spark plugs or my valve gasket cover was broken and leaking fluid into my spark plugs . The car bucks and decelerates when I push the gas in. It also stagnates at the same speed and won’t allow me to accelerate. I have no idea what is causing this and I’m losing my mind!!!!!

I would try and check it out first like I did in the video. It isn't just that the differential is more expensive , but there is a lot more work required , plus a trip to the alignment shop. If you remove the coupler you should be able to feel the bearing drag. It's not always but most of the time the coupler is at fault. The aftermarker I put on mine is still working perfect.
